At the end of the program we teach you exactly how to handle and reinforce your dog’s new skills, and we provide follow up support so results are maintained and continue to improve at home.
Years of Experience
Christa has worked with animals her entire life. She began with horses, riding and working at a trail stable throughout high school, where she developed a deep understanding of animal behavior and communication.
Her formal education in operant and classical conditioning led her to work with one of the pioneers in reward-based training, A Dog’s Best Friend in Florida. It was there that her focus shifted primarily to dogs, with a particular interest in aggression cases and the critical importance of early puppy foundations.
After four years of hands-on experience and continued education, Christa set out to establish her own philosophy within the dog training world. In 2012, she founded Freedom Dogs and began developing the balanced training approach she is known for today.
Christa also actively competes in obedience and protection sports with her personal dogs, continuing to refine her skills and deepen her understanding of working dogs at a high level.
